Using HDMI

This application note expalins how to use external HDMI monitor with the i.MX 8M Plus SOM Starter Kit:

1. Make sure you have the networking enabled as per https://voxelbotics.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/7208993 or https://voxelbotics.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/7274504

2. Connect Type-C USB hub and microHDMI cable to the kit. Connect USB keyboard and mouse to USB hub:

3. As soon as you apply power to the kit, the login screen appears on the LCD monitor:

4. Using mouse and keyboard, log in to the system (default password is “user”):
   
   

5. Navigate the mouse to “9-dots” and click:
