STM32MP1-Old-Kits: Building U-Boot
This application note explains how to build the U-Boot image for booting the Emcraft STM32MP1 System-On-Module from SD card. Step through the following procedure:
Deploy the Yocto build as explained in Building Bootable Linux Images, but don't run
bitbake
yet.Run:
$ bitbake u-boot-stm32mp ...
Results will be in the deploy directory (the sub-directory will be
stm32mp157d-som
for the 800MHz STM32MP1-SOM variant):$ ls -l tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-som/fip/ ... -rw-r--r-- 1 psl psl 663332 Apr 16 20:55 fip-stm32mp157a-som-optee.bin $
To install the binary to eMMC, copy it to the SOM via
scp
, the run:root@stm32mp1-som:~# dd if=fip-stm32mp157a-som-optee.bin of=/dev/mmcblk1p3 bs=1k conv=fdatasync
